Falmouth Community Television (FCTV) held its Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Members and community leaders came together to celebrate a year of outstanding media production and community engagement. After FCTV CEO Debra Rogers welcomed the members to the meeting, State Representative David T. Vieira conducted a special tribute to the outgoing FCTV Board President, Barbara Kanellopoulos.
Barbara Kanellopoulos, who has been instrumental in FCTV’s growth and success, called the meeting to order and received accolades for her dedicated service. In her remarks, Barbara highlighted the significant strides FCTV has made in community media and thanked the members for their support and enthusiasm.
During the meeting, FCTV members re-elected The Honorable Megan English Braga and Ahmed Mustafa to the board of directors. The organization also welcomed a new member, former Falmouth Town Council Frank Duffy, who brings a vast legacy of experience and expertise to the member-elected board.
Members also enjoyed a documentary video that reviewed FCTV’s accomplishments in the calendar year 2023. This video showcased the wide range of impactful projects and initiatives undertaken by FCTV, highlighting how these efforts have enriched the local community and strengthened FCTV’s role as a key media resource.
As FCTV continues to serve as a vital resource for local news, education, and entertainment, the reinforced board of directors is poised to uphold the legacy of impactful community service while steering new initiatives to enhance media accessibility and engagement.
