Falmouth Community Television (FCTV) is pleased to announce that Production and Training Coordinator Allen Russell has been awarded membership into two distinguished academic organizations upon completing his Master’s Degree in Communications at Southern New Hampshire University. Mr. Russell was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta and the National Society For Leadership and Success (NSLS).
Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, was established in 1924 to confer distinction for high achievement in the English language, literature, and writing. It is dedicated to fostering literacy and all aspects of the discipline of English. With over 900 chapters in the United States and overseas, Sigma Tau Delta is the second-largest member of the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS).
The National Society For Leadership and Success is an organization that provides a leadership program to help students achieve personal growth and career success and empower them to positively impact their communities. The NSLS currently has 754 chapters across the U.S., in all 50 states.
As Production and Training Coordinator at FCTV since 2014, Allen manages the community media center’s television production and media classes curriculum. He produces or co-produces many of FCTV’s original productions, such as Falmouth In Focus and THE Conversation.
“I am incredibly grateful for the guidance and support of my advisors, professors, and other mentors, who have inspired and motivated me throughout my academic journey. Their expertise and encouragement have been invaluable along the way. I am honored to be a part of a community of scholars and leaders,” said Allen.
