CALLING ALL critter-lovers, pet owners, and nature enthusiasts!
The Gallery at FCTV invites artists of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels to submit their artworks exploring the theme “Paws, Claws, and What Have You?”
This open-ended theme, celebrating the importance and love of animals and nature, encourages interpretations related to animals, nature, pets, mythical creatures, or any imaginative creation featuring paws, claws, or other intriguing elements. Submissions can include paintings, drawings, sculptures, digital art, photography, and mixed media.
Submissions have begun and end on December 15th.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Please note this gallery policy: All exhibiting artists/crafters must be members of FCTV. Individual membership: $30/year. Organizational membership: $75/year. This enables you to show your work with no submission fees or gallery rental fees and to take advantage of all the other great amenities available to you as a member. Submission and Acceptance Procedures: Each participant may submit up to 3 (three) pieces for consideration. At least 1(one) piece will be accepted for the show. This decision will not be based solely on the merit of the piece, but also its suitability for the overall theme of the show, and the fact that the show is open to participants of all ages. Each piece must first be submitted by email in the form of a high-resolution photo in JPEG or PNG. Upon acceptance, each participant will receive by email a Contract, a Gallery Wall Map (to familiarize yourself with the space), and forms to adhere to your piece(s).
All submissions must be delivered to The Gallery when accepted for the show.

GUIDELINES for Submissions: All submissions must have a theme relatable to animals: wild, domestic, imaginary & beyond. “Beyond” includes science fiction, dinosaurs, etc.
All mediums will be considered. ALL mediums intended to hang on the wall must have a hanging device. Drawings, paintings, etc., must be matted, and framed if possible. Gallery wrap canvases are acceptable unframed. Children’s art may be adhered to poster board or other solid backing but must have a hanging device. Your work may be for sale if you wish. See Commission and Sales below.
The Receptions:
- An Opening Reception will be held on Sunday, January 12th, 2025, from 3-5pm. VOTING will take place during this reception and on FCTV social media to see which three submissions garner the most votes for FAVORITES in SHOW.
- A Closing Reception will be held on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, to present winners of the most votes and take down the show: Many hands make short work! Each participant will take down their work and take it with them.
Commission and Sales:
· All funds from sales will be paid directly to FCTV.
· FCTV will take a 30 (thirty) percent commission on any sale.
· All sales are subject to an additional 6.25% Massachusetts State Sales Tax payable by the purchaser. FCTV will pay the sales tax to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
· Payment of sales will be made to the artist approximately two weeks after the end of the show.
Publicity & Announcements:
· FCTV will send a press release to the media. FCTV will post an announcement of the exhibit in its monthly newsletter, video bulletin board & social media.
All artists are highly encouraged to do additional PR as well, including sending out invitations and personal social media.
Any press releases or ads by the artist using FCTV’s name need our CEO’s approval.
The Gallery at FCTV is located within the Falmouth Community Media Center, which is at 310E Dillingham Ave., easily accessible by Rose Morin Lane.FCTV and Gallery Hours: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu: 10-8pm, Fri: 10am-6pm. Sat: Closed, Sun: 12-8pm.
