Falmouth Community Television (FCTV) welcomed a strong turnout for its 2026 Annual Meeting of Members, bringing together community leaders, volunteers, producers, supporters, and residents for an evening focused on local media, civic engagement, and the organization’s accomplishments and direction moving forward.

The Annual Meeting provides members an opportunity to elect members of the Board of Directors, review the organization’s work over the past year, and learn about new initiatives shaping the future of community media in Falmouth.
Members voted to re-elect Diane Jemmott and Todd Duffany to new three-year terms on the FCTV Board of Directors.
A major highlight of the evening was a presentation by State Representative David Vieira, a long-time FCTV member, addressing legislative efforts supporting PEG access television and community media funding. Vieira discussed the importance of preserving local media infrastructure, public access, and government transparency in a rapidly changing communications environment.
The meeting also celebrated individuals whose work strengthened FCTV over the past year through its annual awards presentations. Henry Jazo was recognized as Youth Producer of the Year. Yiwen Chang received the Volunteer of the Year Award for her dedication and growing contributions to community programming and production support. Producer of the Year honors were presented to Lance Shinkle, whose long-running series Painting The Cape has become a staple of local programming on FCTV, with demonstrations on how to paint the abundant landscapes Cape Cod offers.

Attendees also viewed FCTV’s annual Year in Review documentary highlighting the organization’s work throughout 2025, including expanded government coverage, youth media education, nonprofit partnerships, technology upgrades, and the launch of FCTV’s Digital Navigator initiative. The presentation was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
FCTV Chief Executive Officer Debra Rogers welcomed attendees and reflected on the organization’s continued expansion into digital literacy, podcasting, streaming, government transparency, and community storytelling while maintaining its longstanding mission of providing local access to information, communication, and media education.
