Photos and Mementos from the Cape Cod Military Museum
January 11 – February 20, 2026
Photos and mementos from the Cape Cod Military Museum will be displayed at The Gallery at FCTV from January 11 through February 20. The public is invited to the opening reception on Sunday, January 11, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.

Come explore a selection from the Cape Cod Military Museum’s extensive photographic collection. The exhibit features battalion photographs where visitors may discover images of relatives, alongside official Signal Battalion photographs displayed with G.I. scrapbook images.
Where else could you see photographs of three Black Bear mascots that lived at Camp Edwards in 1940? The collection also includes rare images of secret amphibious training exercises from 1942, as well as photographs of several 42nd Anti-Aircraft Battalions that trained on Cape Cod.
Did you know that Camp Edwards was once the largest convalescent and rehabilitation hospital in America? This remarkable history is documented through compelling photographic evidence.

The exhibit showcases images from Camp Edwards, Otis, Camp Washburn, Old Silver Beach, Camp Wellfleet, Camp Can Do It, Cotuit, Camp Have Done It, Osterville, Scorton Neck, Sandwich, Popponesset, Mashpee, and the Cape Cod Canal.
Have you ever seen photographs of German prisoners of war on Cape Cod? You will – when you attend this exhibition. A very special presentation is also planned for February. Stay tuned!
