Join casting professionals Carolyn Pickman, CSA, and Katie O’Connor for a three-week, hands-on Audition Lab focused on developing the skills actors need to audition successfully for film, television, commercials, and voiceover work.

With limited enrollment, participants will have plenty of opportunity to work, receive feedback, and put what they learn into practice.

Ready to get in front of the camera?

FCTV’s ACTION! Teen On-Camera Intensive gives young performers ages 14–18 a hands-on introduction to acting and auditioning for film, television, and commercials with casting professionals Carolyn Pickman, CSA, and Katie O’Connor.

Students will receive material in advance to prepare and will spend the session working on camera, gaining practical experience and professional feedback in a supportive production environment.

During the final hour, parents are invited to join the class to review the recorded takes and participate in a Q&A with Carolyn and Katie covering the business side of acting, auditions, and the industry.

No previous acting experience is necessary. This intensive is designed to give young performers a practical, encouraging introduction to what it’s like to prepare, audition, and perform on camera.

Beginners welcome.

About the Instructors

Carolyn Pickman is a member of CSA and founder of CP Casting. Having won nine Artios Awards as well as an Emmy for her work as a Casting Director, her credits include local and regional casting on ten Academy Award-winning films. She currently teaches at Boston University, Emerson College, and Boston College.

Katie O’Connor (SAG) is a Los Angeles casting professional, educator, actor, and entertainment industry executive with over a decade of experience in casting. Her background includes work at Sony Pictures Television’s casting department, commercial casting, and Casting Networks.
