Falmouth, MA – August 27, 2026 — Falmouth Community Television (FCTV) has received $24,767.79 from FalmouthNet to support and extend FCTV’s Digital Navigator Program, which FCTV leads in partnership with the Town of Falmouth.
FCTV was selected in November 2025 by the Town of Falmouth to serve as the lead organization for the Town’s Digital Navigator project, managing funding received through the Massachusetts Broadband Institute (MBI) to provide digital navigator services to Falmouth residents.
The additional funding was made possible through a $100,000 state grant secured with the support of State Senator Dylan Fernandes and administered locally through FalmouthNet,
According to Mary Harris, Treasurer of the Falmouth EDIC, “FalmouthNet is grateful to Senator Fernandes for providing a state grant of $100,000 to FalmouthNet to further its mission of bringing high-speed fiber to the Town of Falmouth. Seventy-five percent of the grant was used to support the efforts of the Municipal Light Board, and this remainder is in support of FCTV’s Digital Navigator Program. Thank you, Senator Fernandes.”
“In today’s world, digital access is essential to participating fully in our community, and no one should be left behind,” said State Senator Dylan Fernandes. “I’m proud that nearly $25,000 we secured for FalmouthNet will support FCTV’s Digital Navigator Program, helping seniors, veterans, low-income residents and others build the skills they need to get online and access essential services.”
Falmouth Town Manager Mike Renshaw said, “On behalf of the Town of Falmouth and Select Board, I want to congratulate FCTV and everyone involved in the Digital Navigator program. The ability to access information in our digital world is critically important, not only as a way for individuals to more fully participate in municipal government but also as an economic development driver. I also want to thank FalmouthNet for recognizing the efforts of FCTV. These funds will be a huge step in extending the Digital Navigator program here in Falmouth.”
The remaining funding will allow FCTV to continue the Digital Navigator Program into 2027. The funding received by the Town through MBI was allocated for the 2026 program year.

The Digital Navigator Program provides residents with one-on-one technology assistance, digital skills training, and help accessing devices, affordable internet, and online services. FCTV works with community partners to bring these services to residents throughout Falmouth.
