FCTV is hosting a multimedia presentation by Cape Cod Military Museum Founder Joe Yukna and Cape Cod Cape Verdean Museum Co-Founder/Curator Barbara Burgo in its Studio A on Wednesday, February 11th, at 5:30pm.
Americans fought together on the side of democracy in World War II, but for white and black military personnel, the battlefield was definitely not level. Personnel of color were kept apart from in very tangible ways, serving in segregated units, living in segregated dwellings, and socializing in segregated facilities. Black soldiers were also often limited in the roles they were assigned.
Studio seating is limited and will be apportioned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations are necessary. Book your seat for the event here.
Inquiries may be directed to info@fctv.org.
