Sewer Project Construction Update 8-7-26
Notice – New road closure to begin in the week of August 10th
Brick Kiln Rd will continue to be closed from Sandwich Rd to 1/4 mile west of Oxbow Road through mid August.
New Road Closure / Detour to begin in the week of August 10th: Maravista Ave will be closed between Nickerson St and Randolph St.
All closures/detours will be in place from 7 am – 5 pm weekdays.
3-Week Look Ahead Construction Work Schedule – Great Pond Sewer Project

| August 10th | – Sewer installation on Teaticket Path (south side from Shell Path to Oak Ridge Rd)- Sewer installation on Perch Pond Circle (south side then installing sewer laterals on the north side)- Sewer installation will continue south of the Maravista/Nickerson intersection; Maravista Ave will be closed to through traffic between Nickerson St and Randolph St. See NEW detour map above. – Sewer force main installation on Brick Kiln Road – Brick Kiln Road will be closed to through traffic between Sandwich Rd and Oxbow. See detour map above. |
| August 17th | – Sewer lateral installation on Teaticket Path (south side from Shell Path to Oak Ridge Rd)- Sewer installation and sewer lateral installation on Keechipam Way- Sewer lateral installation on Perch Pond Circle- Sewer installation will continue on Maravista Ave to Randolph St (see detour map above) then will continue on Randolph Street; new detour map for Randolph Street work to be published in the week of August 10th. – Once sewer installation is completed in Maravista Ave to Randolph St, sewer mains will be installed from existing manholes in Maravista Ave Ext to approximately 30 feet down each of the following streets: Dorchester St, Jeffrey Lane, Mattapan St and Milton St; ; new detour map for this work to be published in the week of August 10th. – Sewer force main installation on Brick Kiln Road. Brick Kiln Road will be closed to through traffic between Sandwich Rd and Oxbow, as shown on the detour map above. A new detour map will be published in the week of August 10th for work in the Brick Kiln / Sandwich Road intersection. |
| August 24th | – Sewer installation on Teaticket Path (south side, west of Oak Ridge Rd) – Sewer installation on Playstead Lane – Sewer installation on Nickerson St – Sewer installation on Randolph St – new detour map to be posted in the week of August 10th for this work – Sewer force main installation will continue on Brick Kiln Road – a new detour map will be published in the week of August 17th for work west of the Brick Kiln Road/Sandwich Road intersection |
